ChatRoom Rules


1. Age

You have to be 13 to join deviantart because of the Child Internet Protection Act. Anyone that is found being under the age of 13 will be banned from #StateCommunity and reported to dA Admins. Anyone found helping them will be banned from #StateCommunity.

2. Be polite

Be polite to others. People come to this chat to have a good time, not to be harassed. Even if you may not like the person, still be polite to them. While courtesy is not required, diplomacy is.

3. Profanity

You are allowed to use profanity but not in a derogatory manner.

4. Do Not Advertise

Advertisement of other rooms is not allowed; doing this will result in an automatic kick.

5. Rate your links

We ask that you rate all your links with bullets for general and for moderate warning. This is to help prevent people from accidentally opening a link to something they would rather not see. Links containing nudity, pornography, vore/gore, etc. will not be accepted in the chat.

6. Three strikes, you're out

For the first violation of the rules here, members will receive a verbal warning and a notice to kick upon the next offence. The second and third are kicks and if a fourth violation occurs, you will be banned.

7. Follow the main dAmn rules

Follow the rules set by dAmn. If you do not follow them, we have the right to report you. (They can be found here help.deviantart.com/287/)

8. No harassment

Do not harass other users, whether it is for sexual purposes or otherwise.

9. Idling

Idling limit for guests is 30 minutes. You will be kicked if found idling longer then 30 minutes. Members won't be kicked for idling, but we ask that you don't do it, please.

10. Only English, please

We ask that you only speak english in #StateCommunity. Most people in the room speak English, generally and the mods like to know what people are saying. If you're speaking in a different language then it makes it hard for the mods to monitor what the conversation is about.

11. Sexual RolePlaying / Sexual Talk

Sexual RolePlaying or sexual talk is stictly forbidden. If you are going to be participating in such actions, please ensure that we know nothing about them. Violation of this rule will lead to a warning and then an instant ban from the chatroom.

12. Respect to the Moderators*

The Moderators* are placed to give you any help you need and to issue complaints about other members who may be breaking these rules. However the Moderators* are also there to stop and report you if you are breaking any of these rules, so their authority is to be respected at all times. If you are rude or insult a Moderator*, they have every right to remove you from the room.

13. Stretching and Caps

These are allowed but please do not spam with these and keep it to a suitable level.

14. The word 'rape'

The word 'rape' is not allowed/tolerated within the chat since conversations with it always brings in the MNbot. Using the word will result in a kick. If you are still ignorant and use it afterwards you will be permanently banned. (Other words like faggot, cunt, whore, slut, pussy, queer, nigger and porn will result in an automatic kick as well due to excessive use by trolls)

15. Requesting for a Roleplay

You can only request a RolePlay on #StateCommunity in bold. But your request must not contain any obscene/sexual/foul languages. Posting anything else in bold text is prohibited.

16. No Personal Matters

This chat room is to be a place of enjoyment for all users. If you have personal problems with another user or a chat operative, you are to discuss it in another means that does not prohibit the flow of discussion for all users.

17. Multiple Accounts

An alternate account may never be used to evade a ban. If you are banned on one account that means you are banned on all your accounts. If you are caught on a different account and one of your accounts are banned, then that account becomes banned too without warning. Anyone found helping them with the evasion will be banned from #StateCommunity as well.

18. Welcome Messages

All welcome messages must be written in subscript to avoid spamming.

19. The /ignore command

You are not allowed to use the /ignore command on any Moderator*, doing so will result in a ban.

Help & Guidelines for Newcomers


Selecting another user - To select another user type the start of the persons name, and then hit the Tab button. This will bring up the users name quickly without the hassle of typing it out each time. Use this when speaking with someone in specific on a one to one.

Joining rooms - Use /join (Then the room you wish to find) to take yourself to another room.

Different fonts - The diffrent fonts are Bold = < b > Italic = < i > _Sub = < sub > ^Sup = < sup > Code = < code > Strike = < Strike >

Posting Thumbs/links - To post a Thumb you must go to the selected artwork on DA you wish to post. In the lower, right hand corner next to the artists description. There you will see a code for thumbs. Simply copy and paste that code into the chatroom and the picture will show up for everyone to see. Links are alot easier, simply paste the URL into the room to create a link.

Emoticons - Emoticons are in the right hand corner of the screen, have fun with them

To find your friends - If your friends are in a chatroom simply type: /whois (Then their username) This will tell you where they are so you can find them.

/clear - Type /clear to remove all of the current text from the chat window.

/help - For further help regarding other commands.
